Laurie Kilmartin is an exceptionally significant voice of our time.
Her humor is quick dry and dark, or slow obvious and imaginative.
Either way she reveals herself to us with an honest vulnerability of
self-perceived imperfections that has us relating and laughing through
the pain.  She is an inspiration to many writers and comedic talents
that follow her career as avid audience members.

The obvious  She is an Emmy nominee, with copious TV appearances and
contributions in that arena, her comedy album, the book, the podcast,
but most important and poignantly the Twitter feed live from her
Fathers death bed.

She instituted Twitter to pioneer the exploitation of her process to
find humor in death as a coping mechanism. Any other attempt in this
would have failed horrifically, but instead with Laurie's deft skill
of humor she gained 40k followers in a short few days.

From the live Tweets she is now filming "45 Jokes About My Dead Dad".

Here is the link to one of the articles written about her during the
live Tweets

Laurie Kilmartin spent her first 10 years as a standup in San
Francisco, the second 10 in New York City and now lives in LA. She
currently writes for CONAN on TBS. When home in LA, Laurie does
standup nearly every night. While on 10 week hiatus she's on the road
headlining all over the country.
