ShawnMikael(s) in CoHi: You Miss this Show, It's Your Own Damned Fault...
Who's on our show this month? Oh, no one special.
Just, you know, one of Washington Improv Theater's supremely talented and funny troupes: Season Six.
Just, you know, Rozay, an improv troupe of three guys (two with local roots) who are burning it up in NYC as part of a Lloyd (improv) team at UCB: one of whom wrote "Shit Rough Drafts," another who's an editor at "College Humor" and whose humor writing has appeared in "The New Yorker," and another who is part of a web series called "High Maintenance" that's crushing it so hard "The New Yorker" recently took notice.
And our host, Josh Kuderna: easily one of the funniest people on the Eastern seaboard.
Plus, two other older, less energetic dudes.
So, yeah, this one's probably gonna sell out. Like, quickly.
Here's the lineup.
Season Six is:
Tom Achilles Nick Greenough Xavier Hernandez Ami Krasner Murphy McHugh
Rozay is:
Paul Laudiero (UCB Lloyd team Buchanan, "Shit Rough Drafts," McSweeney's) Will Stephen (UCB Lloyd team Buchanan, College Humor Staff Writer, The New Yorker) Zach Cherry (UCB Lloyd team Buchanan, "High Maintenance" comedy web series, UCB Comedy videos)
ShawnMikael(s) is:
Shawn Westfall Mikael Johnson
Our Host: Josh Kuderna
But: you can't see any of it unless you buy a ticket. And you know how that works: we only can sell a total of 5 (FIVE!) at the door. So get yours early and often...
Remember: Studio 1469 is BYOB!: Keep in mind that the space doesn't sell alcohol. However, you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages to the show (provided, of course, you are of legal drinking age and aren't a gargantuan douche).
The Space: Studio 1469 (http://studio1469.com/), located in the rear of 1469 Harvard Street, is not your normal performance space: one part artist's hideaway, one part "white-box" theater, it's a hidden gem in bustling Columbia Heights. Please note that access isn't available on Harvard Street, but by entering via the alley off 15th Street between Harvard Street and Columbia Road. Once in the alley, walk straight to the end, where you'll find the space. More information. Directions, and a map are available here:
