The Text Ball is Portlands unique celebration of all things text, where attendees are encouraged to come dressed with text as part of their evening attire. The theme for this years ball is A Novel Idea. Along with live music, dancing and text-based refreshments, attendees can enjoy word games like scrabble, giant crossword puzzles, and Speech-e-oke. The evening will culminate in a costume parade, with literary prizes for the best outfits. Anyone who attends Wordstock can purchase a discounted ticket for only $8. Otherwise, tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
