Handels Oratorios: A Sampler
First Presbyterian Church Chorale, Jenifer Thyssen, soprano, David Stevens, tenor, and the St. Cecilia Period Instrument Orchestra present choruses, arias, and instrumental music from Handels 21 (!) English oratorios. Listen to favorites and discover new gems from his lesser-known works. Encounter Handels masterful and dramatic settings of Biblical stories for soloists, chorus, and orchestra.
Note: This concert is presented at First Presbyterian Church of Austin, located slightly to the south of the junction of Spicewood Springs Road and Mesa Drive in northwest Austin.
Parking is available in the church parking lot and across Mesa Drive in the shopping center parking lot.
