Daniel Klag, Carter B. Maness, and Images will convene at The Tank to perform their own homegrown visions of modern music.
Daniel Klag lives and performs in New York. He performs electronic /ambient music, taking cues kosmische musik, Eno and others, in a wholly contemporary fashion.
New Yorks own Carter B. Maness will be performing a solo set that mixes free jazz, early 90s hiphop, ambient, and folk. Previously Carter has played around NYC all the while sharing stages with White Magics Mira Billotte, Regattas (Sam Hillmer of Zs), among others. Carter also performs music as a member of Brando Skirts, as well as running proyecto.net.
Images have been steadily perfecting their warped artrock vision. Now a three piece, including a former touring member of Sian Alice Group, Images bring to mind other artistically focused groups who place improvisation on an equal plane with song structure. Often times abandoning decipherable vocals and riffs for lengths of time only for them to suddenly swell back into focus. All the while never losing the hook! Images have been building a strong reputation for their live performances that often blend visuals with their seemingly melting songs.
