Lecture:
Imagine streets and urban centers in which pedestrians and bicyclists are given priority over cars and other motor vehicles: How do these spaces come to be? What steps are necessary in their creation? Join SAF for a panel discussion on transportation in the 21st century and gain insight on pedestrian focused urban centers and how they can encourage a vibrant street life and economic vitality.

Join us before the lecture for a tour of King Street Station. Originally built in 1906, the grandeur of this working train station was restored in 2012. Meet with Tim Williams, Principal of ZGF Architects and renovator of the station, for an inside look and a new understanding of transportation development in Seattle's 21st century urban life.
