The L.A. CHORAL LAB is a newly-formed classical chamber choir bringing world-class performances of the choral repertoire to Southern California. We're taking old music and giving it new life, and we're taking new music and giving it a voice.
The L.A. Choral Lab is proud to invite you to our inaugural concert at the beautiful Zipper Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
On Friday, September 26, you'll hear madrigals and you'll hear spirituals. You'll hear rarities by Vincent Persichetti, and you'll hear a well-known, beloved selection by Eric Whitacre. You'll hear music from as far away as Estonia and from as close as your own backyard, including a piece by composer and LACL member Matthew Brown, as well as a piece by local composer and conductor Jeffrey Bernstein.
The L.A. Choral Lab is accompanied on piano by the incomparable Tali Tadmor (www.talitadmor.com).
A VIP ticket guarantees you the best visual and acoustic experience of the L.A. Choral Lab. VIP admission includes a meet-and-greet with the members of the L.A. Choral Lab immediately following the performance. Light refreshments will be served.
TICKETS
A VIP ticket gives you the very best seats in the house. With a VIP ticket, you are invited to come meet the members of the L.A. Choral Lab at a cocktail reception after the concert. The reception will be held on Zipper Hall's South Plaza.
BOX SEATS
The L.A. Choral Lab is proud to offer box seating for our inaugural concert. The six available boxes are represented by the groups of five seats, three on the far left, and three on the far right. These seats are available directly through the L.A. Choral Lab. If you are interested in these seats, please send us an email: tickets@lachorallab.org
VENUE/PARKING
Zipper Hall is a 415-seat concert hall on the campus of the Colburn School in Downtown Los Angeles. There are three parking options within a three-minute walk of Zipper Hall.
1. Joe's Auto Park #140
140 South Olive Street
2. Classic Parking
131 South Olive Street
3. Walt Disney Concert Hall
Enter from 2nd street, between Hope and Grand
NOTE: Grand Avenue between 1st and 2nd street will be closed during the evening of the concert (and the entire following weekend). Entrances to parking structures and to Zipper Hall are not affected. However, we recommend parking at one of the two lots on Olive street, to steer clear of this one-block road closure.
