A Raisin in the Sun
The stage play A Raisin In The Sun is a three act play first produced in 1959 by Lorrainne Hansberry. In her portrait of an embattled Chicago family she touches on issues that range from generational clashes to the civil rights and women's movement. She also poses the essential questions about identity, justice and moral responsibility. This is a dramatic, humorous, heartfelt rendition of a family struggling for the American dream. At the heart of these great struggles is an American classic.
