This night will mark the return of Brooklyns ROB SYMEONN to the Dub Mission stage, where he will be performing a set of brand new and original modern roots classics, dub sound system style, with veteran DJ/producer MIKEY ASSASSIN behind the decks.

A passionate lyricist catching the attention of a worldwide audience, Rastafarian singer ROB SYMEONN blends roots riddims with sweet, smoky vocals and an always-uplifting message, something he has done for over twenty years. The Chosen One, his latest CD on Redbud Recordings, boasts some of the most legendary musicians in reggae including Val Douglas, Noel Alphonso, Bongo Herman, Dalton Browne, Andy Bassford, Kevin Batchelor, Jerry Johnson and Barnibus, laying down the grooves and melodies on a dozen new tunes. The album also features guest appearances from Junior Kelly, Terry Ganzie, Willow Wilson and Simpleman, with outstanding production coming from Noel Alphonso (son of legendary Skatalite Roland Alphonso), and producer extraordinaire Victor Ticklah Axelrod (Dub Side Of The Moon, Antibalas, Roots Combination), whose record, Ticklah vs Axelrod features Rob on vocals (Pork Eater).

Singing out on the famous One Love International sound system out of Flatbush, Rob built a loyal following with the extended Caribbean reggae community. His first single, Anything For Jah, was released in 1997 and was also the first release from the Easy Star Record label. The follow up single "Delilah" was a massive collaboration with legendary deejay Ranking Joe. He also recorded Keep On Trying on the Thai Stick riddim for Easy Star before recording his first full-length album, Abso-Rootly Hot, released in 2001 for the Hawaiian-based label, THC Music. Rob has shared the stage with the Wailing Souls, Sister Carol, Meditations, I Wayne, Fanton Mojan, Kerry Kill, and Bitty McLean.   Robs third solo album is due out in late Fall 2009. MIKEY ASSASSIN is a prime time DJ on 106.1 FM, New York Citys www.boomstation.net, a Brooklyn-based internet radio station. The Fyah Lord as he is known in reggae circles is about to release his first compilation "Lyrics Set To Music" Vol. 1, which includes veterans like Sugar Minott, Sluggy Ranks, and newer artists Rob Symeonn, Bigga Haitian, and Shanti Rebllah. Mikey tours frequently with his sound system, Demolition Muzik, blazing conscious music along with the best of the new roots and dancehall chart toppers.
