Grisha Goryachev - Flamenco Guitar
A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, guitarist Grigory 'Grisha' Goryachev has been acclaimed the world over for his blinding virtuosity and extraordinary musical sensitivity. As a master of both flamenco and classical styles, he has created a new genre all his own and garnered praise from such guitar luminaries as Paco de Luca, Christopher Parkening, and Eliot Fisk.
Grisha will present works by Sabicas, Paco de Luca, Vicente Amigo, and others. In his view, they are among the grand masters of composers of flamenco music, and he feels their music should be played more often. Grisha is one of the few guitarists who present them in concert.
Danza Arabe, Farruca, Soleares, Siguiriyas, Bulerias, Tarrantas, Malaguea, Guajiras, Alegrias, Granadina, and more are included in his program.
