Jazz In June

Acclaimed among Chicago's most exciting and dynamic jazz musicians, the members of Harold & Co. under the leadership of Harold Morrison bring their distinctive blend of jazz, blues and R&B to Jazz in June, for a one-night-only appearance.
The concert unites four of the area's most accomplished musicians: Tony Carpenter on percussion; Corky McClerkin on piano; Julie Ponce on bass; Wilbert Crosby on Guitar; and Harold Morrison on drums. Think, Million-Dollar Quartet of the Chicagoland jazz scene. Gritty and smooth, hip and melodic, this incredible line-up of jazz pros promises to create a night as memorable as it is evocative.
The band will be joined by two amazing vocalists:
Bobbi Wilsyn, well known on the local scene for her powerhouse sophistication, Bobbi has performed with musicians ranging in spectrum from the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra, to her all-female jazz group SHE, and the Chicago Jazz Ensemble. She is also an Artist-in-Residence at Columbia College.
Also featured is the Bradford Newquist, with his distinctive voice and elegant style, this Chicago favorite has won a legion of fans at theatres, concert halls and clubs across the country and around the world. Bradford has thrilled audiences with his own arrangements of big band standards, jazz, pop and Broadway for nearly three decades. In Chicago, Bradford has performed in concert at Chicago Symphony Center's glamorous Grainger Ballroom, Toulouse on the Park, Maxim's, the Moulin Rouge in the Fairmont Hotel, for E & N Productions, many Chicago area Public Libraries and the Chicago Office of Tourism.
White wine, beer and light appetizers are available for purchase.
Proceeds support the ministries and programs of Unity on the North Shore.
