Torch Songs by Local Favs - Joe's Jazz and Blue's Fest
"A Night of Torch Songs" by local favorite musicians will be featured at the Center for Arts at the Armory on Saturday, June 27 at 7:30 PM. Closing out the festival, the sultry jazz and blues of Nina Simone, Dinah Washington and Billy Holiday will be interpreted by musicians from a variety of genres. All these women were beloved for their soulful renderings of love gone awry and life gone wrong. Get ready to be swept up in an era gone by where the lyrics of yesterday remain fresh and timeless for the era we live in today.
