PBA Greatest Reunion Tour - Fairfield, CA
The Event is a series of exhibition basketball games, under the auspices of the PBA Legends USA Foundation, involving the most colorful former superstar athletes of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) to be held in two cities in California - Fairfield and Glendale and 5 cities in CANADA- Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Winnepeg and Edmomton.
The games will be held on August 22, 2009 in Fairfield, CA; August 23, 2009 in Glendale, CA; August 29 in Vancouver, BC. The series is a project of our PBA Legends USA Foundation.
The 2009 Basketball Series will provide entertainment and quality time (reminiscences and love for mother country) to Filipino Americans and guests who are nostalgic for their sports heroes; and to raise funds for the Foundation. The funds will, in turn, support the charitable and educational projects of the Foundation in the Philippines and the United States. Such projects include scholarship grants to needy and deserving students in the high school and college levels; medical and dental missions for the poorest of the poor, involving volunteer Filam and Filipino doctors; collaboration with other charitable organizations; basketball clinics; and other philanthropies, including assistance to former athletes in dire straits.
