The Bawdy & The Chaste
San Francisco Renaissance Voices (Todd Jolly, Music Director) presents our final concert of the 2008-09 season featuring Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's (c1525-1594) Missa Sicut lilium inter spinas for five voices with Adriano Banchieri's (1568-1634) comic masterpiece, the Festino madrigals, originally composed as an entertainment for Fat Tuesday, and to be performed by us as a semi-staged masque.
