LoveJourney
LoveJourney is about a young American born Indian girl trying to come to terms with the cultural diversity, clash of traditional and contemporary beliefs. Sherine, who wants to make her own path to success in life, goes to college to get her education and find herself while her parents want to do what any traditional Indian family would think of, marry her off to a nice "Indian boy". What she finds is Collin, an African American architectural student. whom she falls in love with. As their love grows, Sherine is faced with a problem. Does she tell her parents about her love for Collin and risks dishonoring her family, or does she marry the person they chosen for her.
LoveJourney, is an independent production written and produced by Leo Hall. It stars Nashville talent, Falguni Patel, Michael Storey, Jr., David Chattam, Brooke Myatt, Omar S. Javed, Keshava Murthy, and Sonya Anandi Joseph.
The movie is screening at the Avon Williams Campus - TSU Downtown, on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Doors will open at 6:45 pm and the movie will start at 7:30. Afterwards, there will be a Q/A Session with the Cast.
