SLOW U: Foraging in Central Park
Central Park NYC, NY
Nat Bletter, Ph.D, is back in NYC from the University of Hawaii where he is researching chocolate and South East Asian food plants. While he is here, he will lead a special late spring foraging expedition in Central Park. Come along and taste mulberry, juneberry, sassafras, mustard greens, lamb's quarter, epazote, mugwort, burdock, and more. Bring bags (for collecting), water, a hat, sunscreen, and a plastic container and fork (for sampling Central Park Salad). Kids are welcome. The expedition, rain or shine, starts promptly at 1:00pm at the corner of 79th St. and 5th Ave. (park side), Manhattan.
Note: The expedition will occur rain or shine.
