Description
On November 17, 2008, New Model Army released their first live album in almost ten years. Following in the quality and style of 1999's double live Â...& Nobody Else the tracks on ÂFuck Texas, Sing For Us were recorded at a number of shows throughout Europe and the USA during the HIGH tour of 2007/2008. The band selected the best versions of the songs, and proceeded to mix and spin them together to form a seamless live concert. Mixed by Justin, Michael and Dean in the band's Bradford studio, the album has been mastered by Jon Astley, whose recent projects have included the re-remastering of The Who's back catalogue, and Joolz' new album Spirit Stories. Leaning heavily on material from HIGH, it also includes live recording of classics such as Poison Street, Family and 225 which have never been released on an official live album before. The version of Vagabonds is as re-worked by Marshall, substituting a Les Paul Custom for a violin.

THE TITLE EXPLAINED: Entitled "Fuck Texas, Sing For Us", this is a quote of the audience chant that preceded our encore in New Orleans earlier this year and is not a reflection of the band's feeling towards Texas or Texans. We LOVE Texas... After two hours of fervent singing, Justin's voice was starting to give out and he explained to the crowd that he needed to save a little something for a show in Austin, Texas the next night. The fine folks in New Orleans felt otherwise. It is our sincer wish that this sort of thing can be settled over a football game, rather than a border war.

Since their formation in 1980, New Model Army have maintained a fanatical international following, due in no uncertain terms to their phenomenal live performances. These have cemented the band's reputation as one of the finest live acts in the world.

NOTE: No one under 18 years old will be admitted.
