This one-day event will engage community leaders from across Eugene in discussions aimed at increasing their stake as key actors and beneficiaries in a sharing economy. Participants will draw from both their professional and personal experiences, and the lessons learned from other sharing ventures. The interactive workshop experience will be enriched by a book exchange and conversations with local sharing experts.
What you'll take away:
Participants will have increased appreciation of the benefits of sharing and make connections with sharing experts in their communities.
Participants will have identified opportunities to initiate and strengthen alternative sharing ventures within their communities.
Participants will have acquired tools and information which they can use to develop and strengthen sharing ventures within their communities.
Who should attend:
Anyone who is interested in promoting overall community connections through the exploration of sharing economies. This workshop may support work already started through the Map Your Neighborhood Program or Community Emergency Response Teams.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided, including vegetarian options.
