Indio Bravo's acclaimed closing night film is a satire of reality television as hilarious as it is unsettling. Baron Geisler (lower left) plays a flamboyant news producer who stops at nothing to deliver a lurid segment on a gay teacher's murder. He insinuates himself into the victim's grieving family, harrasses the teacher's guilelessly sexy former boyfriend (Coco Martin, Serbis, upper left) and seduces and corrupts everyone in his path as he demolishes the line between reporting the news and creating it.
Official entry, Venice International Film Festival (2009), winner, special distinction, Mexico City International Contemporary Film Festival (2009), special mention, Bangkok International Film Festival (2008).
