REVIEWS of 'Dear Mark J. Mulcahy, I Love You'
"From start to finish, Dear Mark J. Mulcahy is a treat. In fact, it may be his best yet.' - Pitchfork 7.7
"Mulcahy's been busy reinventing himself as a Lou Reedesque street poet. Rich with broken yet proud hustlers, it's gritty urban dramas never became too heavy-hearted, the breezy tunes blowing through like prime Jonathan Richman." - Mojo 4*s
"A set of lean and seductively freewheeling, vaguely alt-country toned pop songs with a knockabout cool and great arrangements, that show off the singer's trademark, wryly reflective lyrics to a T." - Uncut
"Now he returns with Dear Mark J. Mulcahy, I Love You' yet another feather in the cap of one of American music's most deserving-and one of its most puzzlingly underappreciated-singer-songwriters" - Ben Greenman, The New Yorker
"Dear Mark J. Mulcahy fights against darkness with bright, wryly warbled folk-pop that can recall the Velvet Underground or Loudon Wainwright III or the post-REM college-rock Mulcahy made in Eighties band Miracle Legion" - Rolling Stone
