Melanie's voice weaves the fibers of African American folk music with soulful ballads, spirituals, and original songs. Led by Carolyn Brandy, Ojala features Regina Wells, Elouise Burrell, Sue Matthews, Nia Nonzamo, Annette Acosta, and Ava Miller. They perform Afro-Cuban folkloric music, and infectious funky rhythms.
