Growing A Sustainable Economy: First Regional Congress of the NYS Sustainable Business Council
How is government helping to build a sustainable economy? What are the existing roadblocks to growing a sustainable economy? The New York State Sustainable Business Council (NYSSBC) wants to hear from you! NYSSBC is organizing a series of "listening" sessions designed to gather ideas and strategies to help New York businesses and communities grow in healthy, sustainable ways. The thoughts expressed will help create the first policy agenda for a sustainable economy in New York State. At the same time it is hoped that by harnessing our collective voice and power, we can make the business case for policy that supports the growth of a sustainable economy.
We invite you to be a part of shaping the first ever policy agenda for a sustainable economy in New York State. The New York State Sustainable Business Council is convening community and business leaders from the Southern Tier to collaborate on creating both market and policy solutions that reflect the values of the triple bottom line (social, environmental, and financial).
David Levine, Co-Founder and CEO of the American Sustainable Business Council, will keynote. "It is time to reinvent our economy as a vibrant, equitable, and sustainable system to meet the needs of today and for generations to come," said Levine.
Inspiration: Hear stories of successful collaborative policy change that have paved the way for sustainable business practices in New York and elsewhere.
Information: Learn from other trailblazers in New York's sustainable business community about their priorities for advocacy efforts across the state.
Impact: Help create a state-wide network of business leaders and organizations and craft the first comprehensive policy agenda for a sustainable economy in New York State.
Please join us in Binghamton, a city at the crossroads of the old and new economy, to participate in critical conversations that will define New York State's future as a leader in policy that supports and promotes sustainable business.
