Dempster Diving
Town Hall Seattle Seattle, WA
Stuart Dempster--world renowned avant-garde trombonist, composer, didjeridu player, aural provocateur, and beloved local teacher and mentor--celebrates his 70th birthday with a one-of-a-kind sonic extravaganza and tribute concert. Town Hall--inside and out--will be transformed, with ongoing and (at times) simultaneous work performed in hidden corners and unexplored spaces in addition to its two stages. Joining the fun are Pauline Oliveros, Trimpin, Paul Taub, David Mahler, the DidgeriDudes with Brian Pertl and Greg Powers, trombone playing unicyclist Nathaniel Oxford, the band "Awesome," Degenerate Art Ensemble, improvisational dancer Sheri Cohen, DJ Tamara Weikel, Michael Monhart, Loren Dempster, sound artist Susie Kozawa, a trombone choir, and others to be announced!
