The Cuckoo's Theater Project debuts with a delicious savage comedy about growing up

Mr. Marmalade is the story of Lucy. Lucy is a 4-year-old girl with a wicked imagination. She has an Imaginary friend named Mr. Marmalade who really doesn't have time for her. He is at the office till all hours of the night. Mr. Marmalade has a personal assistant Bradley who loves to play with Lucy but he is afraid of Mr. Marmalade. She has a mother who also doesn't have time for her so Lucy retreats into her imagination. Larry, her only real friend in the world, is the youngest suicide attempt in all of New Jersey. Larry believes that all the suffering in the world is pointless. Together Lucy and Larry discover what it is to grow up in these savage times of horrid talk shows and reality TV.

The Cuckoo's Theater Project is an up and coming Theater Company. The idea of the TCTP came from Executive and Artistic Director Marc James and company actors Aiyanna Wade and Tyler Drew Clayton. The Cuckoo's Theater Project is dedicated to performing Dark Comedies and finding the truth in them as well as delivering new takes on Classics.

Mr. Marmalade will be The Cuckoo's Theater Project's first production.

Associate Company Member Billy Surges of Surging Films and Theatrics will direct Mr. Marmalade. Billy is a native of Bartlett IL.

The cast includes Founding Company Members Aiyanna Wade as Lucy, Tyler Drew Clayton as Larry and Marc James as Bradley.

Fellow Company members include Seth N Lilley as Mr. Marmalade and Elise Zell as Sookie. Rounding out the cast are

Associate Company Members Mason Absher as George/Cactus/A Man and Katie Meyers as Emily/Sunflower.

Mr. Marmalade will be presented at Theater Momentum 1800 W Cornelia Ave Chicago Illinois 60657. Mr. Marmalade will be in Studio C.

Performance dates are as follows
