Every gardener battles with aphids, slugs, and other thugs. Come learn how to create habitat to encourage the predators of these and other garden pests. In this two hour workshop you will learn:
How to identify a few common pests, predators, pollinators, and parasites
Which plants are best for attracting beneficial organisms to your garden
What other habitat requirements certain beneficial organisms need
And much more!
This is a hands-on workshop where we will be planting a small plot in a public garden to create an "insectary". Come ready to dig in the dirt and get up close and personal with any bugs that come our way.
