Water is life. But for millions of people, including thousands of families in Guatemala, the water they have access to simply isn't safe to drink. Contaminated water claims the lives of children before they get much of a chance to live.
Maria has big plans to change that. This former Unbound sponsored child is now studying in the United States. She is earning a degree in environmental studies and chasing her dream: to clean up Lake Atitlan and provide a sustainable source of water for families in her village back home.
Please join us for a light breakfast and a special presentation from Maria Sicay Lux. You'll be glad you got up early to attend.
Date: July 31, 2014 Time: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Location: Unbound Headquarters, 1 Elmwood Ave., Kansas City, KS 66103 *Note: Doors open at 6:45 a.m. Please enter through the front doors off Elmwood Ave.
