Missouri Pierce's Disease Workshop: Evaluating & Mitigating Risk
Don't miss the Grape and Wine Institute's "Missouri Pierce's Disease Workshop: Evaluating and Mitigating Risk," presented as a part of the GWI's Vineyard Management Series. Featured speakers will be nationally known Pierce's Disease experts, Jim Kamas, Assistant Professor & Extension Specialist at Texas A & M University and Texas Pierce's Disease Program Outreach Coordinator and Jim Wolpert, Viticulture Extension Specialist Emeritus, University of California.
Effective management of Pierce's Disease centers on a well-informed industry. Vineyard managers need to recognize a variety of factors involved in the spread of Pierce's Disease and take appropriate and timely defensive action to mitigate the incidence. This workshop will address key issues for Missouri growers and will provide valuable information for mid-western viticulture.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, May 6th. Check-in and registration begins at 9:30 am. The Hampton Inn Conference Center is in Columbia, MO across from the MU campus.
Registration is required - $40 per person and includes a buffet lunch. Registration deadline is May 1st.
