Woosh Kinaadeiyí April Showcase Fundraiser
After three and a half seasons of bringing poetry slam/open mic events to Juneau, Woosh Kinaadeiyí poetry is proud to present its first ever Showcase Fundraiser. Join us for an evening of music and poetry as we honor five of Juneau's strongest voices.
Paired with one of The Rookery's famous five-course dinners, these five artists will perform their work in new and exciting ways. Each performer's set will have custom backing with rising star J.R. Rosales (Slush Not Snow, Shiver Twins), making for a truly unique experience.
Due to the intimate size of the venue, this event is highly exclusive. Only 38 tickets will be sold.
In addition to purchasing tickets, we strongly encourage community members to consider becoming Woosh Kinaadeiyí sponsors. While any level of donation is appreciated, sponsorships give you the opportunity to show your public support for our work and foster inclusion, empowerment, and diversity in a town we love. Admission price and suggested donations for sponsorships are as follows:
Standard Admission ($80): One ticket to the April Showcase Fundraiser.
Associate Sponsor ($150): One ticket to the April Showcase Fundraiser; shout outs in the event program and on our website; and a first edition copy of Woosh Kinaadeiyí's literary journal, Songs that Shake the Earth.
Friend of the Family Sponsor ($250): Two tickets to the April Showcase Fundraiser; shout outs during radio promotion, in the event program, and on our website; a first edition copy of Songs that Shake the Earth; a limited edition Woosh Kinaadeiyí Season 4 t-shirt, and a custom, commissioned poem by a Woosh Kinaadeiyí artist.
Variable pricing is available if you wish to make an additional donation, but are not ready to commit to the next level of sponsorship. If you want to support Woosh Kinaadeiyí, but are unable to attend the event, standalone donations are also available.
Proceeds help us secure venues and pay for printing, outreach, music, and contract services. We are currently completely community-funded and we are grateful for Juneau's continued support.
