June Writers Workshop

Beginning the last week of May, Femina Potens will be offering an intensive writersÂ workshop for women and Queers that will culminate in a reading performance at the National Queer Arts Festival on Thursday, June 25th. The theme of the workshop will be Identity, and poets and creative non-fiction authors are welcome if comfortable with the fiction writersÂ perspective. Authors will meet for four weeks starting on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting May 27th, from 7:00 Â 10:00pm. The group will be capped at a total of nine authors, and there will be a flat fee of $80 to help cover the costs of the reading and workshop space. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but contact the gallery quickly, as the first nine writers to make a deposit will be included in the workshop, and the rest will be placed on a waiting list.
