1st Annual "Play it Forward" Benefit Concert for Rock Against Cancer
A special musical evening celebrating the courageous spirit of children battling cancer. "Play it Forward" begins at 5:00 pm September 23, 2006 on the Green at Southern Village, Chapel Hill, NC. The first band is Southern Village's own, Union Jack. The Capital City Girls Choir will perform several pieces followed by 100.7 The River's 2006 House Band Joceifus Rifle at 6:45 pm. A raffle for a 5 day 4 night stay at Divi Resort in St. Martens will take place before The High and Mighties of Chapel Hill hit the stage at 8:15 pm. 12 year old Isaac Akers will entertain the crowd with his fiddle and join headliner The Old Ceremony at 9:45 pm rounding out an outstanding evening of local music for a great cause. Rock Against Cancer is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization raising awareness of the #1 disease killer of kids and helping make music part of their cure, www.rockagainstcancer.org for more information.
