Save room for dessert! Join us in downtown Durham for late evening drinks & desserts at Piedmont Restaurant, complete with live music by a local jazz ensemble.
Piedmont's inviting, contemporary dining room is the perfect place to unwind from the work week by socializing with friends. Imagine yourself enjoying decadently wonderful desserts, sipping the perfect beverage, and taking in the restaurant's art-filled space, large window wall, exposed wood & vaulted ceilings.
DESSERTS: Satisfy your cravings for something sweet with the creations of Piedmont's own chef, Ben Adams, alongside 2 guest pastry chefs. Chef Adams may even put his jet-powered ice cream maker into service for a house-made frozen creation. He'll be joined in the evening's dessert offerings by Pastry Chef Daniel Benjamin, most recently pastry chef at the acclaimed Herons Restaurant, who is embarking on his own pastry endeavor, lucettegrace. Rounding out the slate of dessert superstars will be Chefs Kim Floresca & Daniel Ryan of Chapel Hill's [ONE] Restaurant. You may even want to skip dinner altogether, so that you can indulge in this unforgettable roundup of fabulous desserts!
DRINKS: Enjoy a variety of beverage options to accompany the sumptuous dessert spread. We'll have artistically-crafted cocktails, or a lovely sparkling Domaine St. Michelle VS Brut from Washington state. This bubbly is crafted in the Methode Champenoise, the French tradition of fermenting in the bottle. You can cap off your evening with coffee, fresh-brewed from Larry's Beans.
MUSIC: Enjoy your after-dinner drinks & desserts to the smooth sound of live jazz. If you're going to The Art of Cool Jazz Festival at the Carolina Theatre right down the road, what better way to close out the evening than by joining us at Piedmont?
