Show Description:
Dark of night, light of day. These are the times we come out to play. No cars, no trains, no first class flights, no neon signs or big bright lights.
We creep and crawl from the highs of the tree tops to the jungle floor. Searching for new ways of dance, we just want more! Our sight is spot on and our Reflexes are precise! we have the way of movement that will always entice.
We are ferocious and in many ways distinct. Now come with us on our journey, make sure you bring your...ANIMAL INSTINCT!
About the Dance Co:
Work Dance Company is a highly motivated and dynamic Hip Hop, and Jazz/Funk Dance Company based out of Eugene, Oregon. The Company is Directed and Choreographed by Nate Boozer and founded in 2008. Work has the philosophy of leaving problems at the door and bringing you nothing but FULL OUT, RAW, HONEST dancing.
Work has 22 Strong and multi-talented dancers that truly love what they do and do it with honestly and passion. Work Dance Co. uses everything from old school to new school urban Hip hop and Jazz/Funk styles and techniques. While also adding theatrics and much needed expression to the dances. Work has performed in venues all around and has made a name for themselves in the dance community. They are known for bringing FRESH SYTLE and HIGH ENERGY performances to the stage.
The dance company has hosted 7 SELL OUT shows at the Hult Center in Eugene, OR and 2 SELL OUT shows at the Headwaters Theater in Portland, OR. Work also hosts a Monthly Hip Hop 'HyPE' night up in Portland, OR every first Thursday of the month at CC Slaughters Nightclub. The Hype night is fully equip with GoGo dancers, and 3 fresh performances by Work Dance Co. throughout the night. The event has become the best hip hop night of the month for the Portland community.
The Company received the Best of Eugene Award for 'best show/concert' of 2013 for their over the top production of Wonderland! Work always promise to bring a true dance production for their audience. They use everything from High- Tech Video Visual Effects, Lighting, Costumes, and Props to make their production an eye dazzling experience for everyone.
Work loves what they do and will continue to push themselves to bring their community, and your community the best possible performance each and every time they hit the stage.
