Born in 1911 to Russian Jewish immigrants and earning a Ph.D. at 20, Ruth Gruber reported from the Soviet Arctic, escorted Holocaust refugees on a secret war-time mission, and changed the world with dispatches from Palestine-bound ship Exodus in 1947. An inspiration not only for her extraordinary seven-decade career, but for her vitality and humor at age 98. Archival footage captures the drama of her life as she lent her camera lens and her heart to war refugees and encounters with relatives and old friends.
