Join The Choral Society of Pensacola as we raise our voices to celebrate this expressive piece in a way its creator never heard it - in its entirety. Bach's Mass in B Minor has been called "as lofty in design, scope and expression as anything written by the hand of man." Most of the work's components come from various times in Bach's career, beginning in 1714 and ending with the completed composition in 1749.
The Choral Society of Pensacola, directed by our Artistic Director Xiaolun Chen, along with The Choral Society Orchestra, are honored to perform this exceptional work. We invite you to experience it with us. Guest soloists: Sheila Murphy, Soprano Anne Duraski, Alto Leo Day, Tenor Matthew Burns, Bass-baritone
