Seeing Double - Violin duo from baroque to jazz
Concord native and violinist Sarah Whitney returns to her hometown with violinist Julia Salerno to perform a violin duo concert.
On March 23, 2014, First Parish in Concord presents "Seeing Double", marking the duo's first Boston area appearance.
Sarah and Julia are out to prove that the music of two violins can be much more than the sum of its parts! The audience will be taken on a journey through the serene baroque style of Georg Telemann, the lush Hungarian folk melodies of Miklos Rosza, carefree bluegrass tunes of Mark O'Connor, the raw beauty of Prokofiev and the jazzy swing of Mark Summer.
