Bill Plympton's Guide to Oregon Animation History, Part 1 Oregon Sesquicentennial Film Festival
This program will introduce you to Oregon animation figures from the past, such as voice artist Mel Blanc (Portland), animator and voice artist Vance DeBar "Pinto" Colvig (Jacksonville), animator and comic book artist Carl Barks (Merrill), writer-director Ralph Wright (Grants Pass), director Harry Smith (Portland) and composer George Bruns (Sandy).

Many of the films are cartoons from Hollywood's Golden Age of Animation, making this program is suitable for animation scholars of all ages. Co-sponsored by the Oregon Cartoon Institute.
