Brunch @ The Brewery: International Women's Collaboration Brew Day
Mike Hess Brewing is hosting the First International Women's International Collaboration Brew Day (IWCB) and Brunch

On March 8th, Mike Hess Brewing will be joining forces with 29 other breweries around the world, to  help raise awareness of women in the craft beer industry

Participating breweries' professional women brewers, or in our case, brewsters on loan from nearby breweries, will all be brewing a 4% pale, with a percentage of the sales will go to Pink Boots Society, a non-profit charity which provides scholarships to women who earn income in craft beer and another charity of choice.  

On loan to Hess Brewing that day, we are stoked to welcome Brewsters Hollie Stephenson and Laura Mirsch guest brewing for us from Stone Brewing in Escondido.

When they are not hard at work brewing the special beer, they will spend a time enjoying the brunch with us and speaking with you, our guests, about how they got their start and what it is like to work in the brewing industry.

While the brew is going on, we will have an amazing buffet style spread created by Cucina Coronado's Caroline Chambers (http://www.cucinacoronado.com/) using locally sourced foods from small businesses such as Krystian Cook, owner of CookPigs.com and the Weiser Family Farms.

Winter Farmer's Market Crostini Station
 Farmer's market style table overflowing with local San Diego bounty - fresh bread, cheeses, roasted sweet potato hummus, heirloom tomato bruschetta, roasted spicy nuts, dried fruits, roasted winter vegetables, raw local honey, jams made with local fruits

Baker TBD, Spring Hill Organic Cheese, Smit Family Farms, Rancho Del Sol, this list will grow and be a great showcase of local female farmers

Individual Market Chopped Salad
 Organic greens, watermelon radishes, marinated heirloom cherry tomatoes, maple bacon, roasted winter vegetables, fresh english peas, fresh herbs, housemade ranch

 Heirloom tomatoes, locally made buratta, sweet basil, 18 year aged balsamic, maldon salt, avocado

Gourmet Sandwich Bar
Grilled jidori chicken, slow roasted CookPigs pork shoulder, local brioche buns, ciabatta, house-made wholegrain mustard, house-made raspberry mustard, housemade pickles, organic sprouts, roasted vegetables, microgreens, local cheeses

All this, and open taps as well.
