My Fair Lady
My Fair Lady is a romantic musical comedy about a noted English linguist, Professor Henry Higgins, who accepts a challenge from fellow phoneticist Col. Pickering. Prof. Higgins claims that he can transform an unrefined Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, into a woman of sophistication and grace, and pass her off as a member of London's elite. Their relationship is adversarial from the start as Higgins spends endless hours drilling Eliza on correct pronunciation. But as Eliza is transformed into a lady, their relationship is transformed also, and Higgins realizes his feelings for her go far beyond winning the bet.
