Future of Business Speaker Series - People, Planet, Profit
Join Sustainable Connections for our new Future of Business Speaker Series; three evenings of educational and inspirational keynote speakers, Q&A panels of local and regional experts followed by relaxed and engaging networking with the best and brightest business owners and professionals in the Northwest. This year's speaker series will focus on Triple Bottom Line business practices exploring people, planet and profit and how your business can define and achieve success in these three critical areas.
In this chapter we will focus on one of the integral parts of the triple bottom line: PLANET. Join Keynote Speaker, Aaron Fairchild of Green Canopy, Inc. as he showcases how his business focuses on PLANET in relation to his Triple Bottom Line. How can we all align environmental values with what the market is looking for? How can environmentally friendly actions stimulate the economy?
Hear and learn from local business leaders as they give their experienced view of how to integrate a profitable business with an environmental priority.
ABOUT THE SERIES:
"Without question, the balance of power on the planet today lies in the hands of business." Ben Cohen, Values-Driven Business: How to Change the World, Make Money, and Have Fun
The Future of Business Conference has been a cornerstone event for Whatcom and Skagit County businesses for over a decade. Over the history of the event, a plethora of sustainable business practices have been presented alongside traditional nuts and bolts business education. In 2014, we are departing from our prior format of a full day conference in favor of a speaker series consisting of three evening events.
Attendees will learn how to integrate the much referenced but often misunderstood Triple Bottom Line business practices. Each individual session will focus on one of the integral parts of the triple bottom line - people, planet and profit. Sessions will feature a keynote speaker, a question and answer panel, followed by "table talk" networking where conference attendees can network, share ideas and best practices as well as cultivate meaningful business-to-business connections. The 2014 speaker series is an exceptional value that will continue the tradition of providing inspiration, education and tools for the business community.
Series dates May 22, July 31 and October 16
