Exerpt from my space page: /therealmikegurrola When I discovered Jazz it totally changed my entire view on music and my direction in life. I decided then that a career in jazz and music is what I wanted in life and that is when I went to the "wood shed" and got very serious with my instrument and the music. When I finish high School I would like to go to a New York music conservatory and prepare myself for a succesful career of music making. I was born into a very musical family with my mother having been a music major in college and playing in the UTEP Miners Marching Band and my father having a hobby of playing the piano and studying music theory and science.
