honey.moon.tree is the music of Aslan Rife, and is a masterpiece years in the making. Meditations, existential ruminations, and paradoxical illumination lie profoundly against the backdrop of brilliantly luscious and dark vocal harmonies with subtle string and winds. honey.moon.tree will culminate their west coast tour with this album release show with an arrangement for full band and strings.

The Ancient Present is an emerging ensemble focusing on contemporary and new works, premiering with works by Michaud Savage. At this show, The Ancient Present will premiere three pieces for sextet, featuring Taylor Regnier, soprano; Sierra Glessner on violin, Ebony Miranda on cello, Samantha Bosch on flute, Beth Fleenor on bass clarinet, and Michaud Savage on electric guitar.
This suite of chamber works is titled, "Prayers," and centers on the deeper currents running through our psychic landscapes, and, through song, journeys into these waters of time, vortexes of suffering, and persistent yearning.

"In all this world of jazz, there are very few individual voices, no matter what the instrument. But Dawn Clement has come up with a voice that's unique. One can't say that she sounds like Bud Powell or Oscar Peterson or the Herbie Hancocks or Chick Coreas or Keith Jarretts of the world. Dawn Clement's music is uniquely heard. And that's the thing that grabbed my attention." - Julian Priester
