 Chris Paine and friends celebrate the completion of Marrakesh House, a new green residence in Culver City on Saturday June 6th at 5PM.
UPDATE June 4, 2009: General Admission Tickets are now sold out but a limited number of VIP tickets are still available.
Grand opening entertainment includes headliners NAKED RHYTHM, DANYAVAAD featuring Indiriani, KCRW DJ TOM SCHNABEL, the incomparable BEN LEE, and Marrakesh House resident DJ Evil. Live animals courtesy of the WILDLIFE LEARNING CENTER providing outreach education in wildlife biology.
Located adjacent to California's newest State Park , Marrakesh House is one of the more environmentally friendly remodels in Southern California. With a nod to Moroccan design, this 1952 mid-century modern home has been reworked to be more sustainable for the 21st century.
"We wanted Marrakesh House to provide a relaxed atmosphere that reflects different cultures, art and more eco-friendly living. This includes making 1/2 of our own energy, growing some of our own food, and reusing whatever we can during our two year remodel process."
