CrossFit Knoxville is excited to host the first CF2 on February 22, 2014.

The event will be held at CrossFit Knoxville West and registration will start at 10:30 a.m.

CF2 is a competition fundraiser that can be scaled for ALL ages and fitness levels. So don't be afraid to come on out and enjoy all the fun!

The RX workout where teams of 2 (either male or female) will be competing for a prize is....

Teams of 2: 3 Rounds
500 m row simultaneous row
21 alternating thrusters each (95/65)
*5 burpee penalty for putting the bar down

And like we said, there will be scaled versions of the workout for intermediate and beginner participants.

Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic, progressive and life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Approximately 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective gene responsible for the disease. CF occurs in one of every 3,500 births of all Americans and about 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year. CF significantly impairs respiratory and digestive functions, making the simple acts of eating and breathing a challenge. The median predicted age of survival is 37 years.

Currently there is no cure for CF.
