Open Hearts Inspire Change MOVE Others to Act
So often in aging services, our training is focused on tasks: how to bathe, how to deal with difficult behaviors, how to perform well on surveys. Important information, to be sure.
But for elder care providers striving to change the culture of aging, it is critical that we also answer the question that is essential to our work: What does it mean to care for others?
The work of culture change requires leaders, from direct care workers to nurses to executive directors, who can articulate a vision and lead their teams with passion. Transformational Leadership is a process that reveals the part of you that is fully capable right now of opening hearts, inspiring change, and moving others to act. It's about allowing your words and presence to reflect the truth of who you are and what you believe. It's about leading with wisdom, intimacy, and dynamism.
Join us as Elder Advocate and Eden Alternative Educator Jean Garboden guides you through a leadership model that will inspire you and your team to discover and embrace the power you have to change lives.
Who should attend? All who want to act as change-agents, those who will make a difference in the lives of elders, should not miss this exciting event. This includes those who work in eldercare as caregivers, health care providers, assisted living leaders, residential care leaders, nursing home leaders, elder advocates, senior centers, ombudsman, and state regulators.
