Due to a medical emergency, Nourhan Sharif our guest of honor will no longer be performing !! Her new CT performance date will be 6/8/14.
However, we still have a GREAT line up of the BEST belly dancers in CT.

*This is a fundraising event. Proceeds will go towards helping fund the class tuition/ costuming costs for the CT Kids/Teens Belly Dance Team. "Zahrat al mustaqbal" are the future belly dancers of CT.

A NOTE from Nourhan Sharif:
Dear Divas and Bellydance Friends,
I am sad to announce that Endometriosis has been attacking my body on and off for the past 20 years , and I am losing the battle to the point that after class on Tuesday evening I was doubled over in pain and have been in terrible pain ever since, back and forth to the hospital... thus I have to go for emergency surgery and I am wondering if anyone else has been thru this saga and has any advice or comments about approaching the surgery so it is a success and the final one ..I am not sure if it will be a full hysterectomy but it seems like that I have another MRI and then surgery. This does more than destroy my personal teaching schedule in the immediate future I am so sorry that my workshops will have to be postponed (not cancelled) please forgive me I cannot control my body and she is not cooperating very well so I need to take my own advice and step back my recovery after birth was quick so I am hoping this will be also ! My classes will run as normal with Azza Amon in NYC and Stephanie Raqs in Brooklyn and my workshops will be postponed colleagues and students are being very supportive and I am doing my best not to upset anyone else's schedule ! All advice is welcome !
