After a three-season hiatus, Powerlines Productions (Mavericks, 100Ft. Wednesday, Fueled is back with Ride-On, an awe-inspiring documentary about big-wave surfing. The film features a summertime trip to the perfect barrel in Mainland Mexico, where a crew of NorCals best stayed in shape for the monster paddle-in sessions later at Mavericks. Then came the deadliest swell to arrive in decades. Surfers were left to decide between Mavericks, with waves at a size some compared to 100-Foot Wednesday, and Ghost Tree, a spot that will face a future ban on tow-in surfing on its biggest days. Ride-On is not your ordinary big-wave surfing documentary, but a journey into the lives and minds of surfers as they search for their perfect wave.
