Trading Places with Tango Con*Fusión
Come celebrate Tango Con*Fusión's 10th Anniversary! Live performances and the featured video premiere of "Trading Places", the company's ground breaking legacy of lead-follow exchanges. Filmed and edited by John Campbell and Daniel Peters, and inspired by the rich visual and energetic landscape of Tango Con*Fusión's home city of San Francisco. Reception with the artists immediately following performances.
("Trading Places" DVD will be available for a donation of $20 or more to Tango Con*Fusión's fundraising campaign for the company's artistic endeavors.)

LADIES IN WAITING
A humorous take on the predicament of the post-feminist woman who enters the machismo-laden world of Argentine Tango, Ladies in Waiting envisions a solution to the dearth of male partners.

TANGO APASIONADO
A segment from Tango Con Fusion's signature piece "Embrace".
TANGUERA
Tanguera means 'a woman who dances tango' and is a favorite among professional male/female tango couples for the performance of duets onstage. Tango Con*Fusión's Tanguera offers a novel spin, with three women dancing tango together and often conjoined. It melds the elegance of traditional tango with the dynamism of tango nuevo.
DANCING IN THE DARK - Short Film by Daniel Peters
Shot on 16mm film and lit entirely with flashlights.
EL CHAMUYO
A jaunty duet set back in time, El Chamuyo portrays men partnering for the purpose of practice and competition.
MALENA
A solo depicting the angst typical of the genre ~ of a lone woman, whose song 'carries the cold of the last encounter,' whose voice 'bears the pain of the bandoneón (key instrument of the tango.)
ESCUALO
The company's newest piece! To be part of a larger suite,"Tango Corsets" - A work in progress.
