Fundraising Event in Recognition of World AIDS Day - get a great laugh, hear some fantastic singing and playing and help a local non-profit raise money to help support those living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C.
You will completely enjoy this rare two hour show with 4 time Entertainer of the Year winner Kenny Shaw and musical humourist Brian Temple. Kenny Shaw is also a 2011 inductee into the BC Country Music Hall of Fame! Kenny is perhaps best known for his hilarious rendition of the Rodeo Song and the wacky costume changes. Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple are a comedy music duo performing sixties tribute baby boomer music. Their musical tributes, unpredictable and zany antics, and high calibre musicality, are gut achingly funny.
Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple are music veterans who have been performing for decades, and are celebrated entertainers in their home region of the Pacific Northwest. As long time friends, Kenny Shaw and Brian Temple have great respect for each other's talent over the years and had even occasionally shared the same stage. It wasn't until they actually played together as a band that they stumbled upon the unexpected compatibility of harmony, musical preferences and humour.
Well loved by audiences for his high-energy antics, animated story telling, and very large hat, Kenny's professional showmanship has also made him a familiar personality as MC for many charity and community building events. He has opened for artists Brooks & Dunn, the Doobie Brothers, Travis Tritt, and Billy Idol and has gained the love of fans across the continent from stages at The Mirage in Las Vegas to the community halls in Inuvik and entertaining our troops in Afghanistan.
In the talent rich Pacific Northwest Brian Temple has been busy adding to the pulse of the thriving downtown nightlife for years, engaging audiences in the club circuit and gaining the reputation as a sought after session player. He is a multi-instrumentalist equally at home playing percussion, bass, or guitar and has shared both stage and studio with recording artists Farmer's Daughter, George Fox, Julian Austin and Suzanne Gitzi. Brian's high-energy comedy, sterling vocals, harmonies, and amazing musicianship add a touch of brilliance to this duo's musical tributes.
