Internationally acclaimed Italian-American tenor Marco Panuccio present "O Holy Night ~ An Evening of Holiday Song"

Mr. Panuccio possesses a voice that "electrifies the audience," wrote the Cincinnati Enquirer.  His program will include a range of repertoire including: Mascagni's "Ave Maria", David Foster's "Thankful", Britten's "I wonder as I wander" and Adam's "O Holy Night".


About the Artists:

Italian-America lyric tenor Marco Panuccio is earning sensational international acclaim from both audiences and critics. Mr. Panuccio sang the Duke with Grange Park Opera in which The Stage Reviews said, "Marco Panuccio's Duke is the work of an artist." Mr. Panuccio performed Bégearss in The Ghosts of Versailles with Wexford Festival Opera in which Opera News exalted him saying "As the villain Bégearss, Mr. Panuccio gave what might well turn out to be a career-making performance." Mr. Panuccio also performed O Holy Night ~ An Evening of Holiday Song in which the Chicago Tribune said "It was what a holiday concert should be: beautifully sung, moving, intelligent." Mr. Panuccio sang with the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra where the Cincinnati Enquirer hailed him saying "Panuccio served notice once again that he is a leading tenor of the first rank."

Upcoming performances in the 2013 season and beyond include Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème with Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Italy, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata with Grange Park Opera, tenor soloist in the Puccini Gala with the London Symphony Orchestra, tenor soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Italian Singer in Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier with Cincinnati Opera, tenor soloist in Verdi's Requiem with Richmond Symphony Orchestra and the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, Britten at 100 - a recital honoring the centennial of Benjamin Britten in Cincinnati, and the American tour of Marco Panuccio Presents O Holy Night ~ An Evening of Holiday Song.

In 2012, Mr. Panuccio sang Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly with Grange Park Opera, Don Ruiz di Padilla in Donizetti's Maria Padilla with Chelsea Opera Group, both in London, the title role in Harbison's The Great Gatsby with Ensemble Parallèle, tenor soloist in Verdi's Requiem with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, San Juan Philharmonic, Reno Philharmonic and Binghamton Philharmonic, tenor soloist in Orff's Carmina Burana with Leipzig MDR Sinfonieorchester and Marco Panuccio Presents O Holy Night ~ An Evening of Holiday Song.

In the 2010 and 2011 Mr. Panuccio appeared as the Duke in Verdi's Rigoletto with Grange Park Opera, Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème with Lyrique-en-Mer Festival de Belle-Île France, Des Grieux in Puccini's Manon Lescaut with Opera Grand Rapids, and the title role in Bernstein's Candide with Münchner Philharmoniker, Don José in Bizet's Carmen with Opera Holland Park, Edgardo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor with Florida Grand Opera, the Electrician in Thomas Adès's Powder Her Face with Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Teatro Rossini in Lugo, Anthony in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd with the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti a Modena, Teatro Rossini a Lugo, and Teatri Comunali di Piacenza, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata and Manrico in Verdi's Il Trovatore both with Portland SummerFest, and an Italian Gala Concert with Beijing Symphony in China.

Mr. Panuccio also made his Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Des Grieux in Massenet's Manon.  Mr. Panuccio has performed Edgardo in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor with Arizona Opera, Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème with Cleveland Opera, Edgard in Donizetti's Lucie de Lammermoor with Cincinnati Opera, Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata with Michigan Opera Theatre, Duke in Puccini's Rigoletto with New Orleans Opera, Prince Karl in Romberg's The Student Prince with Nashville Opera, Verdi's Requiem with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Honolulu Symphony.
