VDay Petaluma 2009
As part of a worldwide movement to raise awareness and end violence against women and girls, VDay Petaluma will consist of a community altar, dancers, musicians, art exhibit, and silent auction, followed by a performance of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues". There will also be representation and information from YWCA, UASA, Women's Health Services, BRAVE People, Rape, Abuse, & Incest, RAINN, and other support organizations. Proceeds benefit: 10% to VDay; 50% to YWCA Women's Safe House and domestic violence services; 40% to BravePeople.org. As our economy declines, violence against women and girls escalates.
